We all enjoy #TBT photos of friends and family to produce a bit of nostalgia. When committing to a more active lifestyle, Throwback Thursday can serve as a reminder of why we began our health and fitness journey and to serve as a visual reinforcement of how far we have come as we measure progress and change. When I see pictures of myself from the past, I am reminded of the woman I once was. While I like my former self. I can't help being reminded of the life I lived, full of health issues and ailments from chronic hip and back pain to spikes in blood pressure and intermittent episodes of edema in my legs and feet. Throwing it back allows me to remember where I have been and to recommit to what I still want to do.
