Pink Drink remake: Low calorie. Low carb.
Starbuck's Refreshers are a popular non-coffee choice but what's not popular are the calories from sugar in their not so "secret" menu creation known as the Pink Drink made with caffeinated strawberry acai tea, coconut milk and strawberries. A 16 oz, Pink Drink logs in at 26 grams of carbs of which 24 are sugar. Since I prefer to eat my calories than drink them, here's my lightened up version.
Low Calorie, low carb Pink Drink
Makes 1
1 c unsweetened coconut milk
1 c brewed, double strength Twinnings Berry Fusion tea, chilled
.5 oz sugar free raspberry syrup (or to taste)
.25 oz sugar free coconut syrup (or to taste)
1/4 c sliced strawberries
pinch of xantham gum
crushed ice
Add all ingredients and shake to mix. Sugar free vanilla syrup can be substituted in place of coconut.
